Hello! My name is Gabi Moraes.

And I'm an illustrator dedicated to creating visual narratives for children (and also for adults who, like me, are fascinated by fun illustrations ;) ). My work is all about bringing stories and universes to life through expressive lines that shape vibrant characters and settings! 

Over a decade-long career, I’ve had the joy of collaborating with various from Brazil and Worldwide authors, publishers, and companies, turning narratives into complete visual experiences—from initial planning to the final polish of works crafted with deep care. One of these books, “Chove Chuva – Aprendendo com a Natureza” (written by Magali Queiros and illustrated by me), won the prestigious Jabuti Award in the Digital Children's Book category. 

I have worked on well over 30 titles (creating children’s and young adult illustrations, layout design, and graphic design), as well as designing mascots, maps, visual identities, and custom characters and settings for diverse audiences.

My creative research is driven by a constant search for authentic ways to tell stories. I truly believe in the power of imagery to spark imagination, trigger curiosity, and build genuine connections with readers, no matter their age.

Currently, I work from my studio developing editorial projects, picture books, illustrations for various media, such as maps, mascots, and educational or digital games,
as well as cultural partnerships.
